Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) is a bimodal therapeutic strategy based on the physical action of an agent (skin photosensitizer) activated by visible light. The photosensitizers activity usually depends on the production of singlet oxygen (1O2) or other Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) which fastly interacts with the micro-environment of a lesion where have been released.
